A Visit with Kelley Lane!

June 9, 2017
Kelley Lane Compendium

L-R: Stu, Kelley Lane, Mullins (a bonafide Stu selfie!)

Kelley Lane has played an integral part in the Northwest Georgia music scene since I started paying attention. Over the last decade he has focused his attention on the luthier arts with Lane Guitars. He is also known as a local singer/songwriter and a member of the Beatles tribute band, The Beatless. This Saturday the Schroeder’s Courtyard will host a Tom Petty themed benefit for DIGS, a group founded for the benefit of adults with developmental disorders. Kelley is also the biggest Tom Petty fan that I know so it’s only fitting that he would put together a band, The Broken Hearts, to headline the event. More information on the show is available on MullinsMania.com. It’s going to be a great time and we sure enjoyed visiting with Kelley! Here’s what we heard.

Cornbread Killers – The Right Thing
Babe’s Bayou – Wild Women
The Barbaric Yawps – Bring Me a Leaf
Matt Mason – I Run
Kelley Lane – Two Gunslingers (live)
Kelley Lane – You Never Had It So Good
Kelley Lane – The King’s Highway (live)
David Bell – Dumbing It Down
