L-R: Montie Esworthy, Professor Bz, Mullins, Stu.

One thing we definitely discovered on this week’s episode of The Northwest Georgia Music Hour is that Cartersville has quite a show in store this weekend. Professor Bz and BandWydth is a collective of Bartow County musicians who will be bringing thick layers of groove to The City Loft this Saturday. The group consists of Professor Bz (Glen Falkenstein), singer/songwriter favorite Montie Esworthy, and members of My Ninja, Iambic Underground, and Milky Sway. It sure sounds like an experience to enjoy. Here’s what we heard.

Michael Teague – Ain’t the Same
Craig Conway – Chillin’ At the Lake
Kira Annalise – Pawn Shop
Booze Mountaineers – Boots on Betsy
Montie Esworthy – The Eternal Harness of Choice (live)
Professor Bz – Time and Space
Montie Esworthy – 7 East Main (live)
Professor Bz – Whitecar
Milky Sway – Happiness

We enjoyed visiting with director Wendell Barnes, Colt Chambers (Charlie Brown), Emily Tumlin (Snoopy), Daniel George (Linus), and Justin Karch (Schroeder). L-R: Steve Stewart, Mullins, Clay Broome (pic by Stu. Thanks!)

It’s no secret that Clay Broome is one of our favorites at The Northwest Georgia Music Hour. That’s why we were pleased as punch to have him join us on the air as our first musical guest of 2017! We enjoyed hanging out, listening to live performances, and sharing a brand new recording (of a not so new song). It was also great to see drummer Steve Stewart.

We also mentioned that there is a gofundme page out there that is raising money to help out our good buddy, Gary Greene. CLICK HERE to visit that link and show some love to the Grand Imagineer. Here’s what we heard.

The Groundhawgs – Rabbit Song
Gazebo – Regurgitation

Clay Broome – Fires In Your Cities
Clay Broome – Bullet In My Head (live)
