2016 was a strange voyage for many. For the Northwest Georgia Music community it was a stellar year for brand new music and splendid¬†performances. One of the year’s finest productions is Ellie Lawrence’s debut EP, If You Knew Me. After her wild ride in 2015 on NBC’s The Voice, Ellie found herself with fans from all over the globe who loved her renditions of other people’s songs. This year’s release of original material proved that she had much more to offer, and debuted at #8 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts, and finally moving to #5.

Ellie and husband/bandmate/co-writer Cody Brown joined us for a laid back visit on this week’s episode of The Northwest Georgia Music Hour. We reflected on the past year, looked into a nice lineup of New Year’s Eve concerts, and pondered the future. Here’s what we heard.

The Vaudevillains – Auld Lang Syne
Clay Broome – You’ll Come Around
My Ninja – All I Wanna Do Is Blue
TACH – Go Away
Atomic Boogie – Coolest Cats In Town
Ellie Lawrence – Unraveled
Ellie Lawrence – Demons
Kamikaze Dali – We Are the People
Ellie Lawrence – Smooth Criminal
Ellie Lawrence – Bare Knuckles
